Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College Pune (BAVMC) is the first medical college of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) through a joint initiative of PMC and PMC-MET (Medical Education Trust). BAVMC has been granted the Letter of Permission (LOP) by the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India, vide letter number NMC/UG/2020/000032/012495, for an intake capacity of 100 students. It is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Medical Sciences (MUHS), Nashik.
This college is situated in the heart of Pune city. It is one and a half kilometres from the famous historical monument, the Shaniwarwada, and about 2 kilometres from Pune Station. It is easily accessible through local transport. Spacious, well-equipped, state-of-the-art campus establishment work has already been started at Naidu Hospital Campus, Pune Station.
