The applicant must be 17 or older as of the 31st day of the year of enrolment. The applicant must graduate from a Higher Secondary School and have 10+2 degrees in the science stream, with Biology (or biotechnology) and Physics and Chemistry being their majors. A minimum of 50% marks are required (40 per cent for SC/ST and 45% for the OBC category).
