The St. Peter's Medical College Hospital and Research Institute is situated in Hosur, Tamilnadu's Krishnagiri District, in a prime area. The St. Peters Institute of Higher Education and Research (SPIHER) Trust founded it in 2008 with the goal of providing medical care to the most impoverished people in Tamilnadu's most backward districts, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri. It also aims to produce medical graduates from students from these impoverished villages, improving the quality of healthcare even in these remote villages.The 300 beds at the 121-acre St. Peter's Medical College Hospital and Research Institute are housed in separate residential quarters for teaching faculty, non-teaching staff, and resident doctors, as well as a separate hostel for male and female students.
