Candidates applying to Kerala government medical and dental colleges under KEAM 2024's 85% state quota seats or 100% self-financing colleges with 100% seats available through private/self-financing arrangements for admission can appear for centralized medical counselling to apply. The following is how it works:
Once the state merit list has been announced, candidates may submit their list of courses and medical colleges in decreasing order of preference for allotment by Kerala CEE based on merit lists and available seats. Once this list has been submitted to Kerala CEE for allotment purposes, any changes to preferences cannot be made during this first round of seat allocation.
Admission Fees
To complete their selection process, candidates must pay admission fees as part of their first semester fees when confirmed as students at college. This payment serves as part of the total first-semester fee amount due.
Trial Results
Once candidates have filled in and submitted their preferences, Kerala CEE will conduct a mock seat allocation round to understand which colleges and seats might be available to them in the actual seat allocation round.
Round One Seat Allotment
Seats will be allocated based on student course and college preferences as specified on their applications, taking into account state merit list considerations. Candidates will then need to confirm their admission basis if they are satisfied with what colleges they receive in this first round of allocation; only after verifying the required documents and paying applicable fees will they secure admission.
Change College Preferences
Before the second round of counselling, Kerala CEE will open up a window enabling registered candidates to modify their list of preferred colleges and courses.
Change of Inclinations
Preceding the second round of directing, Kerala CEE will open up a window for shifting school and direction inclinations of enrolled competitors. This allows registered individuals to make updates or deletions to their desired colleges/courses.
Seat Allotment Round 2
If seats remain vacant after the initial round of counselling, a second round of seat allotment may occur based on NEET merit, and counselling may continue if seats remain available after this second round
